Rules & Etiquette
In order to create a fun and inviting atmosphere, below are a few guidelines and policies to keep in mind so that we can all have a good time at today’s Library ComiCon!

Costumes should be family friendly. That means no gratuitous displays of body parts, nothing overly violent or overly sexualized. Please use your discretion. If you have a question about your outfit, contact a staff member.

Cosplay is not consent. Harassment of any kind toward anyone will not be tolerated. Violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the con.

All prop weapons brought to the show MUST be Approved and Tagged at the Children’s Services Desk as soon as you arrive.We will be looking for the following criteria:

It cannot fire any sort of projectile. (Nerf guns are only allowed if they have been deactivated and cannot fire.)

It cannot be an airsoft weapon. (Yes, even if it's deactivated.)

It cannot be sharp or pointy enough to cut or pierce someone. This includes all real swords, daggers and knives. This also includes ceramic blades, needles, syringes and anything that can pierce the skin.

Drugs and alcohol will not be tolerated — if you appear to be under the influence and are causing a disruption you will be escorted off the property.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If you are separated from your child please contact the nearest staff member and they will assist you.

Please be respectful of the Library and its contents, the volunteers, the vendors and the exhibits.

All other Southington Public Library rules and regulations apply.
